From its origin in the 1950s, Georgia Milk Producers has been the organization to analyze the impacts of positive, as well as negative, issues that continue to confront the Georgia dairy farmer's ability to be profitable.

Georgia Milk has been instrumental in achieving:

• Elimination of Georgia TB Testing Requirement for dairy producers. 

• Environmental regulations that are more producer-friendly.

• Sales Tax Exemptions for Dairy Production through GATE program.

• Funding for a Dairy Specialist at UGA Tifton Research Dairy.

• Funding for the Dairy Pavilion at Sunbelt Ag Expo.

• Formation of the Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation.

• Administrative Oversight for the Mobile Dairy Classroom.
